Why I Relocated to London — And How I’m Helping Active Londoners Recover from Injury

After seven rewarding years in Hong Kong, the last 3 and a half of which were running my physiotherapy clinic, Physiologic in Hong Kong, my wife and I have relocated (back) to London — and I’m now accepting new clients here across two central locations.

I specialise in helping people with sports injuries and spinal conditions return to the activities they love. Whether that’s high-level training or simply living pain-free, my approach remains the same: high-quality care, long-term solutions, and one-on-one rehab that gets real results.

Why I Relocated to London

Relocating to London was both a personal and professional decision. I’d originally met my wife in London, and she was the reason I even moved to Hong Kong in the first place. I knew nobody, had no family (my family’s in Australia), and spoke zero Cantonese.

Fast forward 7 years and I’d made some amazing friends, met some incredible clients, some of which are close friends, and can now speak conversational Cantonese! (at least enough to know when someone’s making fun of me).

However, my wife and I were ready for a new chapter closer to friends, family and new opportunities. Professionally, London offers the perfect environment to continue doing what I love: helping active people live and move pain-free. (+ the mrs got a good gig here!).

Also - the parks here are amazing! Our dog (Nando) loves it!

It’s an incredibly vibrant, health-conscious city — and there’s a real need for physiotherapists who deliver more than just short-term relief. I’ve seen first-hand how life-changing proper rehab can be, and I’m excited to bring my experience and expertise to serve the London community.

The most expensive excess baggage known to man, a dog.

How I'm Helping Londoners Recover and Thrive

In Hong Kong, I built a strong reputation for resolving complex spinal and sports injuries using a combination of manual therapy, expert dry needling, and structured, gym-based rehabilitation. I’m bringing that same proven approach to London.

I now consult through Ultra Sports, a premium physiotherapy provider operating inside Third Space gyms — fully equipped facilities ideal for strength-based rehab.

  • Canary Wharf: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays

  • Tower Bridge: Wednesdays, Fridays

If you or someone you know in London are looking for a physiotherapist in Central or East London, I’d love to help.

Why (I think) Clients Choose (and Recommend) Me

Many of my clients come to me after a recommendation from a friend, family, or their Surgeon’s recommendation - dealing with pain, traumatic accident or injury. What they often say sets me apart is:

  • Trusted Expertise – With over a decade of experience and postgraduate training in spinal manual therapy and advanced dry needling, I’m often able to resolve injuries others haven’t.

  • Tailored, Personal Care – I take time to listen, explain clearly, and adapt everything to your needs. No cookie-cutter rehab plans here.

  • Results That Matter – From running pain-free again to living without daily back pain, I focus on long-term, sustainable results — not band-aid solutions.

  • Specialist Dry Needling – I’m known for dry needling and regularly train other physiotherapists to use it effectively for deep-seated pain and tension.

  • Relationship-Focused – Clients often tell me they feel safe, supported, and genuinely looked after — because I always want what’s best for them.

What I Help With

I work with active individuals, professionals, and recreational athletes dealing with:

  • Lower back pain, disc injuries, or sciatica

  • Persistent neck or shoulder tension

  • Running and gym-related injuries

  • Post-surgical or postnatal rehab

  • Complex spinal or biomechanical issues

  • Training modifications for injury prevention
