ABOUT US
"I've spent the last decade working with people who've been let down — by quick fixes, by vague advice, by being told to 'just rest and see how it goes.' That experience shaped everything about the way I practise." — Ryan Tan, Founder & Physiotherapist
Our Story
Growing up in Perth, I was drawn to physiotherapy because of sport — I wanted to understand how bodies work, how they break, and how they come back stronger. What I didn't expect was how much of my career would be spent unravelling the damage left by well-meaning but incomplete treatment.
After graduating in 2012, I trained under some of Australia's leading orthopaedic and spinal specialists — clinicians who taught me that the body always has a reason for its pain, and that finding that reason is the only path to a lasting solution. That philosophy has stayed with me across everything I've done since.
I spent years in London early in my career working as a Band 7 Spinal Physiotherapist at a complex pain clinic — the cases that other practitioners had struggled to resolve. Then I moved to Hong Kong, where I founded Physiologic and built a practice trusted by elite athletes, chronic pain sufferers, and some of Asia's leading spinal and orthopaedic surgeons.
Now I'm back in London — and this city feels like home in a way it didn't when I was younger. I'm here because London is where I want to build something long-term: a practice where people get the time, attention, and clinical rigour they deserve. Not a 20-minute appointment. Not a machine and a heat pack. A real conversation, a thorough assessment, and a plan that actually makes sense for your life.

What I believe about physiotherapy
Most people who come to see me have already tried something else. They've had treatment that helped for a day or two, then wore off. They've been given exercises they didn't really understand. They've been told their scan looks fine when they're clearly in pain.
I believe that pain always has a cause — and that treating the cause, not just the symptoms, is the only approach worth taking. That means longer initial assessments, more questions than you might expect, and a rehabilitation plan built around your specific body and your specific life — not a template.
I also believe that getting better shouldn't make you dependent on a physiotherapist. My goal in every case is to give you the understanding and the tools to manage your own health with confidence — long after you've stopped seeing me.

Chris Tang (Hong Kong) - Rehabilitation Specialist and Co-Founder of Discite
Chris Tang is a highly skilled rehabilitation specialist with a strong background in both evidence-based exercise prescription and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. His approach is centred around addressing the root causes of injury through tailored, strength-focused rehabilitation, while also leveraging the benefits of traditional modalities for pain relief and recovery.
Chris's passion for rehabilitation stems from personal experience. After struggling with chronic back pain that no one seemed able to resolve, he recognised a widespread gap in anatomical understanding and effective treatment. That experience sparked a decade-long journey of study, hands-on learning, and deep clinical curiosity. Today, he draws on over 10 years of experience in personal training and more than 7 years in rehabilitation to deliver care that is both precise and empathetic.
He works closely with physiotherapists to ensure a coordinated and outcomes-driven approach for clients recovering from sports injuries, spinal conditions, or chronic pain.
Chris is also the co-founder of Discite, an education platform he developed alongside Ryan Tan to upskill physiotherapists and health professionals in injury rehabilitation. Through small-group, practical workshops, Chris shares distilled knowledge that bridges theory with real-world clinical application.
Trusted by both clients and clinicians, Chris brings a unique combination of technical expertise, lived experience, and a genuine commitment to long-term recovery.
